‘Dead to Me’ Season 3 Trailer: Jen and Judy Cover Their Tracks as the FBI Close in on Steve’s Murderer (Video)

Money laundering, gun fights and plenty of wine are in store for the last installment of Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini’s dark comedy

The third and final season trailer for Netflix’s “Dead to Me” is finally here, and the stakes are high — like Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini) — as the cops start sniffing out Steve’s (James Marsden) murderer and how the two women might factor into the crime.

There’s gun fights, money laundering schemes, the Greek mafia’s involvement and plenty of wine as the two friends attempt to cover their tracks. In one scene, they discuss their criminal namesakes, with Jen declaring begrudgingly, “Oh sh–! I’m ‘Bitch Cassidy,” eliciting a gasp from Judy.

“Dead to Me” Season 3 picks up in the aftermath of yet another hit and run, where both women receive shocking news. The logline is as follows: “When the FBI takes over Steve’s murder case, Jen is confronted with the dire consequences of taking a life, and Detective Perez (Diana Maria Riva) struggles to cover up her own complicity. Meanwhile, Judy faces her own existential crisis when her life is threatened by an unexpected force from her past and Ben (Marsden) wrestles with his darkest demons. This season, no one’s future is guaranteed. Will Jen and Judy get away with their lives? And can they save each other?”

The dark comedy hails from Emmy-winning creator Liz Feldman. Executive producers include Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Jessica Elbaum from Gloria Sanchez Productions.

In late September, Netflix premiered a teaser for the season as part of its Tudum fan event. The pandemic-delayed installment will be available for streaming on Nov. 17.
