Sacramento Kings superstar DeMarcus Cousins went bananas on a local reporter, saying, “We’re gonna have some real f—–g issues” in video that has gone viral since surfacing last week.
The comment came in response to reporting by Sacramento Bee columnist Andy Furillo on Cousins’ legal troubles after a recent incident at a New York City nightclub yielded accusations that the NBA star punched a man in the face. In the piece, Furillo referenced prior legal issues of Cousins’ brother, Jaleel, something to which it appears Cousins didn’t take too kindly.
“Don’t ever mention my brother again. You don’t know my fucking brother,” Cousins said while shirtless and towering over the reporter in the Kings’ locker room after a 116-92 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 6’ 11”, 270-pound Cousins also called the reporter a “f——g coward” and told him, “You can say whatever the f— you want to say about me, but don’t mention my motherf—–g family.”
Cousins has also refused to speak with certain reporters recently, and the Bee included old footage to illustrate that when they tweeted video of the most recent incident.
The Kings issued the following statement: “We are committed to being open and transparent, and any hint of media censorship is unacceptable. There is an ongoing review into this matter, and we will take the appropriate steps immediately upon its conclusion.”
Goodbye, Kobe: Bryant's Coolest and Weirdest Off-the-Court Moments (Video)
Was it real or fake? Well, duh, of course it was fake. But everyone was asking that question for a week when Kobe released a viral video of himself jumping over an Aston Martin to promote some shoes.
The last video was so popular that Bryant did a sequel with some of the guys from "Jackass." This time, he jumped over a pool filled with snakes.
In 2008, Kobe whipped out his best Tom Cruise impression for a "Guitar Hero" commercial that parodied the famous dancing scene from "Risky Business."
In 2011, Kobe became the first athlete to leave his mark in cement at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
This week, Kobe did a commercial with "Creed" star Michael B. Jordan in which he gives the actor tips on how to play him in a biopic. Jordan's input showed that while Kobe may be at peace with his age, he certainly doesn't want to be reminded of it.
On the other side of the Pacific, Kobe starred in a Taiwanese pop music video as part of a charity project to build basketball courts in underprivileged schools. The results were interesting to say the least.
Kobe has done countless interviews over the years, but no one has been able to get a better conversation out of him than Jimmy Kimmel. Here's a full segment that the two did together at the Nokia Theater back in 2013.
