Did Carly Fiorina Reveal Classified CIA Info on Fox News?

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO claims there’s more IRS agents than CIA and FBI agents, but here’s the problem: number of CIA agents is classified

During a recent Fox News interview, Carly Fiorina may have leaked classified CIA information about the number of agents the spy agency employs.

Speaking with Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, Fiorina revealed the “startling” fact that the IRS employs more agents than the CIA and FBI.

But as The Daily Beast pointed out, even if this is true — which is blurry at best — the CIA would have to employ around 7,000 foreign operatives.

Here’s the problem: The number of CIA agents is classified, meaning Fiorina is either psychic, or she gained access to the information.

Neither scenario is likely.

But Fiorina does have indirect ties to the CIA; according to her, she was “hand-selected” by former CIA director Michael Hayden to serve on the agency’s external advisory board in 2006, which granted her “top-secret security clearance.”

A CIA spokesperson didn’t answer The Daily Beast’s inquiry as to whether a member of an advisory board could have access to how many people the CIA employs.
