‘Die Hard’: John McClane’s Fist Only Speaks English (Video)

What happens when John McClane doesn't understand a foreign language? He punches the person speaking that nonsensical babble right in the face

"A Good Day to Die Hard" might be a slap in the face — or a punch — to anyone who doesn't speak English.

The fifth installment of the long-running franchise places John McClane — arguably one of the most iconic American action heroes ever to blow things up on the big screen — in foreign territory, where he helps his son take down Russian terrorists.

McClane, played by Bruce Willis over the course of the last 25 years, clearly doesn't bother to invest in Rosetta Stone, because he doesn't understand a word of the local language.

That's okay, though. That's what fists are for.

When a pedestrian berates our bald hero with a bunch of foreign babble, McClane answers like a true patriot and cold-cocks the man in the face. John Wayne would be so proud.
