‘Dirty John’ Trailer: Connie Britton and Eric Bana Have a ‘Toxic’ – But Really Hot – Relationship (Video)

Thriller limited series premieres Nov. 25 on Bravo

Baby, can’t you see? Connie Britton is falling! And that’s a really bad thing, because Eric Bana seems like a really bad dude in this newly-released trailer for Bravo’s upcoming limited series “Dirty John.”

In the almost two-minute teaser for the true-crime-podcast-turned-thriller-TV-show, Britton’s Debra Newell is smitten with Bana’s John Meehan. And, of course, we know this is all going to go to hell cause the trailer is set to a haunting cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.”

The Newport Beach, California, interior designer’s daughters (Julia Garner and Juno Temple) are nervous their mom is so deeply in love (maybe lust?) with this mysterious doctor who is prone to some random outbursts and creepy tendencies.

And if you followed the LA Times podcast this is based on, well then, you already know how this story ends.

Here’s the official description for Bravo’s “Dirty John”:

Based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, Bravo’s scripted event series “Dirty John” tells the true story of how a romance between Debra Newell (Connie Britton) and the charismatic John Meehan (Eric Bana) spiraled into secrets, denial, manipulation, and ultimately, a fight for survival for an entire family. Their fast-tracked romance creates tension between Debra and her two daughters Terra (Julia Garner) and Veronica (Juno Temple), leaving the girls no choice but to investigate the man who has swept their mother off her feet, while the backstory of Debra and her mother Arlane (Jean Smart) provides insight into why Debra was so vulnerable to John in the first place.
