The Walt Disney Studios has overhauled its domestic public relations department.
Joe Quenqua and Julie Fontaine will now coordinate the domestic media strategy for the studio's films.
The two will report to Michelle Sewell, senior vice president of global publicity.
In his new role as vice president of publicity, Quenqua will oversee the New York office for The Walt Disney Studios and Disney Theatrical Group, managing the N.Y. public relations teams for these divisions. He has a long history with the company, most recently serving as vice president of worldwide publicity and communications for Disney Theatrical Group under Thomas Schumacher.
In her West Coast-based role as vice president of domestic publicity, Fontaine will be responsible for domestic publicity, film festival and awards campaigns. Fontaine, who joined Disney’s L.A. operations in 2009, worked on campaigns for “The Queen” and “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” at Miramax.
Later this month, Stephanie Kluft will join the Disney PR team as global vice president overseeing DreamWorks Studios’ marketing campaigns.
