Disney’s Maker Studios Partners with Five Top Toy Review Channels

The company signed on DisneyCarToys, HobbyKidsTV, TheEngineeringFamily, ToysReviewToys and AllToyCollector

Maker Studios has partnered with five of the top toy review channels on YouTube just in time for the holidays.

The partnerships include DisneyCarToys, HobbyKidsTV, TheEngineeringFamily and AllToyCollector.

The five channels rank among the top 40 toy channels globally, with DisneyCarToys ranked as the second largest toy creator with more than 1.1 million subscribers.

Maker is the global leader in short-form video and the largest content network on YouTube. With the new partnerships, the company will assist in managing the YouTube channels working to optimize content and facilitate brand partnerships.

Disney acquired Maker in March for $500 million in total consideration and up to $450 million in performance-based rewards. Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger noted at the time that Disney wanted to be at the “center of this dynamic industry with an unmatched combination of advanced technology and programming expertise and capabilities.”

“Toy review channels have captured the imaginations of families around the world and become the authority on the hottest toys on the market, as well as one of the fastest-growing genres of family programming online,” said Chris M. Williams, Chief Audience Officer, Maker Studios. “Our new toy channel partners are an exciting addition to our community of creators and we look forward to working with them ahead of the holiday season to offer video viewing families great information and entertainment that help guide and inform their holiday buying decisions.”
