Much like it did with the "Twilight" movie franchise, MTV and Summit are partnering to preview the upcoming sci-fi film, "Divergent."
The movie's stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James will introduce the preview with never-before-seen footage during Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards pre-show live at 8 p.m. ET.

Also, "Divergent" cast members Theo James and Miles Teller will also appear with Josh Horowitz on Saturday from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. ET during the VMA All-Access livestream from Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The second screen experience is available on web, mobile and tablet screens including the recently launched MTV app for iOS and Xbox.
Based on the first book in the New York Times Bestselling book trilogy, "Divergent" takes place in the future when people were separated by personality type. Labeled "divergent," Tris Prior (Woodley) finds out that she doesn't fit into any category. She then discovers and tries to stop a plot to kill those with the same personality type.
