Donald Trump Calls for FCC to Fine Fox News’ Rich Lowry for Claiming Carly Fiorina ‘Cut His Balls Off’

GOP frontrunner also rips “horrible” CNN reporter Sara Murray for her reporting on his South Carolina event

Donald Trump’s media crusade raged on Wednesday as the controversy magnate attacked a CNN reporter and a Fox News contributor in less than 12 hours.

While appearing on CNN’s “New Day,” Trump took issue with CNN political reporter Sara Murray’s reporting that described the auditorium for his South Carolina campaign event on Wednesday as half-empty.

“Half of the seats in the back were empty because everyone was standing,” Trump told Alisyn Camerota. “She starts off, the CNN reporter, an absolutely horrible reporter… ‘Oh, look, the room’s half empty’; the room wasn’t half empty, everyone was standing right next to me in the front of the room.”

Trump went on to send a message to CNN president Jeff Zucker: “Listen, you can tell [CNN Worldwide president] Jeff Zucker, I think it was terrible and disgusting reporter.”

Murray didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

But the Donald didn’t contain his scorn to just CNN — he also poured more gasoline on his Fox News hire, calling for the FCC to fine one of its high-profile conservative commentators.

In an interview with Megyn Kelly on Wednesday, Lowry dropped some risqué language about Trump, claiming taht Carly Fiorina “cut [Trump’s] balls off with the precision of a surgeon” during the GOP debate last week.

The comment elicited shock from Kelly, who told Lowry, “You can’t say that.”

Lowry didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. Trump might not be appearing on Fox News anymore, but he’s certainly watching.

Trump has kicked his campaign against the media into high gear this week as he announced a boycott against Fox News over what he perceives as continual unfair treatment toward him.

The attack on CNN’s reporter comes after Trump literally slammed the network while the network carried his South Carolina event live.

Trump will appear on “60 Minutes” on Sunday in an interview with Scott Pelley.
