Donald Trump Family Town Hall Draws 2.15 Million Viewers

Anderson Cooper’s special town hall won the time slot among cable news networks

Donald Trump continues to be ratings gold, as CNN’s “Trump Family Town Hall” was the most-watched cable news program among both total viewers and the key demographic of adults age 25-54 last night from 9-10 p.m. ET last night.

The New York Town Hall, hosted by Anderson Cooper, averaged 2.154 million total viewers in its time slot, Fox News followed with 1.992 million and MSNBC had 1.213 million.

Among the key demo, CNN averaged 570,000 viewers in the Trump town-hall time slot. CNN also won the key demo during prime time on Tuesday with an average of 438,000.

Fox News had the most total viewers during prime time, averaging 2.089 million compared to 1.531 for CNN. MSNBC finished a distance third with 1.025 million viewers.

It’s a big week for CNN: Anderson Cooper will moderate a Ted Cruz town-hall event tonight and Wolf Blitzer will moderate Thursday’s Democratic debate.
