Donald Trump’s comments on Saturday that he wouldn’t lose any votes even if he shot someone in the middle of a crowded street lit up social media, with users taking snarky shots at the GOP frontrunner.
“.@realDonaldTrump says he could shoot somebody on 5th Ave and still win. Why not test this? Shoot Ann Coulter,” suggested one person.
Another joked that the GOP frontrunner “bragged that he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose a voter. Yeah, but if he shot someone in a trailer park, he would.”
The GOP frontrunner was speaking at a rally in Iowa when he boasted about his supporters’ loyalty, saying that he “could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”
That was enough to get the Twitterers going:
Donald Trump's "shooting people on 5th Ave and not losing votes" had a very Schindler's Listy kinda vibe to it no? pic.twitter.com/2odsfK6qL3

Donald Trump said he wouldn't lose any voters if he stood in the middle of 5th avenue and shot someone. I don't have a joke for this.

DONALD TRUMP: I could shoot Tian Tian the panda bear dead on 5th Avenue and I'd still get your vote. Cause you are essentially dummies.
