Donald Trump doesn’t just know what’s best for America — he thinks Brian Williams should lean on him for career advise.

The presidential contender reacted to Williams’ interview with Matt Lauer Friday, calling it “very sad” and telling the former “Nightly News” anchor to start over.

“Brian should get on with a new life and not start all over at MSNBC,” Trump tweeted. “Stop apologizing.”

Williams apologized profusely, saying: “I was not trying to mislead people.”

Although the embattled TV anchor admitted he “said things that weren’t true” over the course of his career, he firmly denied lying when Lauer asked directly.

Interesting for Trump to advise Williams against going to MSNBC — he’s technically part of the NBCUniversal family as the host of “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC.
