Donald Trump Justifies ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Firings on ‘Late Show’ (Video)

Latest season of NBC reality competition has already lost Keisha Knight Pulliam, Kevin Jonas and Gilbert Gottfried

Donald Trump dropped by “Late Show with David Letterman” on Thursday night where he talked a bit about the firings on his own show, and acknowledged the one celebrity that everybody seems to want him to fire, but he hasn’t. At least not yet.

“Celebrity Apprentice 7” kicked off Sunday and Monday night with four hours of project managers, fights, presentations, boardroom arguments and three declarations of “You’re fired!”

Letterman went down the list of current-season cast members, singling out the ones who’d been fired, and pointing out a few that haven’t been yet.

When he got to Gilbert Gottfried, who got fired during Monday’s episode, Trump stood by his decision. “He is very funny. I hated to fire him,” Trump said, “But he had to be fired. It was time. He knows.”

“Fire Geraldo,” Letterman said when Geraldo Rivera’s fight with the since-fired Kevin Jonas came up.

“A lot of people say that,” Trump said with a smile. “I’ve been hearing a lot of people say that.”

“Vivica Fox, she’s beautiful,” Letterman observed. “I notice she hasn’t been fired, Don.”
