Donald Trump Piñatas Sell Out at Texas Party Shop (Video)

Lone Star State residents apparently flocking to beat up GOP candidate in effigy

Deep in the heart of Texas, Donald Trump is probably being beaten in effigy en masse right about now.

An Oak Cliff, Texas, party shop that crafted a line of Donald Trump piñatas has sold out of the item, Dallas/Fort Worth’s CBS affiliate reports.

Republican presidential candidate Trump has come under widespread fire for his comments about Mexican immigrants, in which he characterized them as “rapists,” among other things. The comments, while not seeming to affect his popularity in the polls, have resulted in hits to Trump’s wallet, with Univision, NBC, Macy’s and others severing ties with Trump in protest.

“Because of his unkind words, we want to have fun with him,” Elvie de la Fuente, co-owner of the ABC Party store, told CBS.

Nonetheless, co-owner and operator Carlos de la Fuente insisted that the shop isn’t partisan in its pinata-making, insisting that the store would have no problem with making piñatas in the image of Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

“You pay me, I’ll do it,” de la Fuente said.

“Everybody has stress at this time, and what better than to just knock the crap out of Donald Trump,” he added.
