Donald Trump thinks the first Democratic presidential debate on CNN will be a ratings bust because it won’t have the Donald as participant.
“You know, I think people are going to turn it on for a couple of minutes and then fall asleep,” Trump said. “I don’t want to say this in a braggadocious way, but a person at CNN and a couple of other people said, ‘We have to put Donald Trump in this debate. We’re going to die with it [without him].'”
Trump then issued a now customary boast about how his presence at the first two GOP debates yielded record ratings for Fox News and CNN.
The real estate mogul also hit back at President Obama, who in an interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday, said Trump won’t be president.
Obama’s performance was “terrible,” Trump said, conceding that, in all fairness, Obama isn’t likely to endorse him for president on national TV.
“We have somebody who’s more worried about climate change than he is all of the problems we have.”
