Donald Trump goes up to 11 in a new parody that replaces his voice with that of Spinal Tap guitarist Nigel Tufnel.
In a remix by BuzzFeed’s Jesse McLaren, Trump’s voice is replaced with that of Christopher Guest, who played the self-absorbed musician at the center of Rob Reiner’s classic 1984 mockumentary, “This Is Spinal Tap.” (As the video gained online traction Thursday, McLaren tweeted to Reiner, “I am so so so sorry.”
If you’re not a Spinal Tap fan, this whole thing will probably make more sense to you if you start by watching the original scene from the 1984 film, above.
Are you back? Pretty good scene, right? Now watch this clip from Trump’s interview Wednesday with ABC News’ David Muir, in which Trump fudges some numbers just a bit, with the “Spinal Tap” audio added:
The video comes after a weekend in which Trump reportedly pressured the National Park Service to play along with his attempt to amplify the size of the crowd at his inauguration.
Trump’s team also had a little fun with social media Thursday: White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted out the baffling message “n9y25ah7,” sparking a lot of speculation about whether it was some kind of secret code … or he just left the Twitter app open when he put his phone in his pocket.
Inauguration Faces Ranked From Least to Most Miserable
Maybe it's because of the rain, or because half the country hates him -- but a lot of people looked really unhappy at Donald Trump's inauguration. Here are some familiar faces, ranked from least to most miserable-looking.
If you need proof that Hillary Clinton can be a little fake, look no further than this picture. No one's this happy about the peaceful transition of power.
If you don't think President Obama and Veep Joe Biden are great politicians, just look how happy they're acting while they congratulate Mike Pence.
Speaking of... Pence looks like he had to agree to shoot his dog in exchange for winning the election. Cheer up, Mr. Vice President.
President George W. Bush looks like a dad attending his daughter's wedding... to Chris Brown.
Sen. Chuck Schumer thinks to himself: "I perched my glasses precariously on my nose for this?"
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas doesn't look happy, but at least he's not as furious as the dude over his shoulder. Who is that -- Anita Hill's husband?
Donald Trump doesn't look very happy for a guy about to be sworn in as president.
Oh wait: He was just waiting for the actual swearing-in to debut some new cocky expressions.
Bill Clinton used to say he felt our pain. Today, we believe him.
