Does Donald Trump like Sarah Palin? You betcha.
The Republican frontrunner for president said he would definitely consider the former VP candidate for a cabinet position on Monday, telling a radio host that Palin is a “special person” who “knows what’s happening.”
Trump added that “everybody loves” Palin and that voters recognize her strength, which “you just don’t see very much of it anymore.”
He said he admires the former Alaska Governor because she “took so much nonsense — lies and disgusting lies,” adding she handled the incoming criticism well.
Palin, of course, enjoyed a Trump-like surge in 2008 when John McCain tapped her as his running mate to challenge Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
She became a lightning rod during the campaign, creating a straight-talking “mama grizzly” persona that invigorated a large portion of the Republican base.
Trump didn’t elaborate on what position he would assign Palin.
