Donald Trump’s ‘Sideshow’ Presidential Campaign Demoted to Huffington Post’s Entertainment Section

“Trump’s campaign is a sideshow. We won’t take the bait,” website’s Washington bureau chief and editorial director write

Politically-inclined Huffington Post readers won’t find updates about Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign on the site’s politics page.

The website announced Friday it will cover Trump in its entertainment section instead of its political vertical.

“Our reason is simple: Trump’s campaign is a sideshow,” Washington bureau chief Ryan Grimm and editorial director Danny Shea wrote.

“We won’t take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you’ll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and ‘The Bachelorette.’”

Trump hasn’t responded to his HuffPost coverage demotion, but did author a tough tweet about site founder Arianna Huffington in 2012.
