‘Dynasty’ Actor Christopher Cazenove Dies

Also appeared in miniseries “The Duchess of Duke Street,” films “Three Men and a Little Lady,” “A Knight’s Tale”

Actor Christopher Cazenove, who appeared in TV series "Dynasty" and "The Duchess of Duke Street," died Wednesday of septicemia in London. He was 66.

His death follows by a week that of his "Dynasty" co-star John Forsythe. The two men played brothers Blake (Forsythe) and Ben (Cazenove) Carrington.

In a statement released by his agent, his family and girlfriend Isabel Davis said the actor had "died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones."

Cazenove had been scheduled to narrate "The Rocky Horror Show" at the Norwich Theatre Royal from June 7-12. The role will be recast at a later date.

Cazenove’s big break came when he portrayed Charlie Tyrrell in 1970s miniseries "The Duchess of Duke Street." He also played the Baron in the TV adaptation of Jeffrey Archer’s novel "Kane and Abel" and Captain Preston in the WWII drama "Jenny’s War," both released in 1985.

He also had a role in 1988 miniseries "Windmills of the Gods," based on the Sidney Sheldon novel.

Following his "Dynasty" stint, he appeared in the Hollywood movie "Three Men and a Little Lady" in 1990 and played Heath Ledger’s father in "A Knight’s Tale" in 2001.

Cazenove was married to actress Angharad Rees for more than 20 years; they had two sons, but the elder was killed in a car crash in 1999.
