Ed Westwick will not face charges after being accused of sexual assault due to insufficient evidence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

According to documentation obtained by TheWrap, three separate women came forward with accusations that the “Gossip Girl” alum sexually assaulted them at three different times in 2014.

According to the paperwork, one victim identified potential witnesses and another said that two people were present but outside of the room when the alleged assault occurred. However, the DA’s office determined, the witnesses “were not able to provide information that would enable the prosecution to prove either incident beyond a reasonable doubt” and charges on those two cases were declined due to insufficient evidence.

The investigating officer was unable to contact the third alleged victim for a pre-filing interview, according to the DA’s office, leading prosecutors to decline the case due to unavailability of the alleged victim.

Three women came forward last November to accuse Westwick of sexual assault or rape, allegations the actor has denied. The actor said via Twitter at the time that he was “cooperating with authorities” to set the record straight.

Westwick was first accused by actress Kristina Cohen, who said in a Facebook post that Westwick forced himself on her, sexually assaulting her while she was napping at his house.

“I told him to stop, but he was strong,” she wrote. “I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f- me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”

A second woman, Aurelie Wynn, later came forward saying that Westwick attacked her after a party at his home. “And like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight,” she wrote. “I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock.”

Westwick’s third accuser, Rachel Eck, said in an interview with Buzzfeed that the actor aggressively pursued and “groped” her at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood the night before the 2014 Oscars.

While Westwick won’t face charges stemming from the allegations, the actor did suffer career fallout after the accusations were made, including being replaced in the BBC’s adaptation of the Agatha Christie drama “Ordeal By Innocence,” multiple outlets reported in January.
