According to gossip rags, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are considering a divorce, and both were “so sad” to find out about their marital troubles through the media.
“I read that we were getting divorced, and I went and told her, and she was sad,” DeGeneres joked to Jimmy Kimmel in an interview (above) on Wednesday. “We both were so sad. I couldn’t believe that we were getting divorced, so I guess we are.”

The daytime talk show host swung through Kimmel’s ABC late-night show just days before she’s set to take the stage to host the Academy Awards on Sunday.
“I’m busy. I’m very busy,” DeGeneres said. “I didn’t really think this through when I said I would host.”
Kimmel appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier in the day to announce that he and his wife, Molly McNearney, are having a baby. And DeGeneres arrived for her guest spot on Kimmel’s show a gift fit for Hollywood spawn — an Oscar statue.

“It’s real. They let me take — well, they didn’t let me, but I took it,” DeGeneres said. “It’s like a doll, and [the baby] can play with it, or something.”
