Emma Roberts is going to experience some "Delirium."
The "Scream 4" actress has been cast as the lead in the drama pilot "Delirium," which has received an order from Fox.
The pilot, executive produced and written by Karyn Usher ("Bones," "Prison Break") is based on a best-selling trilogy about a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure.
Roberts will play Lena, who falls in love 95 days before she's scheduled to undergo a procedure to destroy that emotion in her.
Chernin Entertainment is producing the pilot in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.
Should the project go forward, it will mark Roberts' first regular TV gig since "Unfabulous," which ended in 2007.
