“Broad City” stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer played host to Hillary Clinton on the third season of their Comedy Central show.
“I saw a glimpse of her body when she like opened her jacket,” Glazer told TheWrap. “She looked so good, it was weird. I was also like, ‘This is awesome.'”
Jacobson jumped in to clarify that the presumptive Democratic nominee did not actually disrobe on set. “Say that she was still wearing clothes,” she implored her co-star. “It seems like you really caught a glimpse.”
“Broad City” has found most of its success online, where the show’s most quotable moments get turned into gifs and memes. This has led to some criticism that the show is written to that audience, constructed as a series of gif-able moments rather than a cohesive story.
Jacobson is adamant that that’s not the case. Rather, she said, it’s the reality of “the culture we’re living in” that fans online celebrate the television shows they love.
“We love being relevant on the Internet,” Glazer said. “It’s so important to us … that’s where the main conversation is happening in the world. Honestly, if you’re not on the Internet, where are you?”
