ESPN.com and espnW Name New Editors-in-Chief

Chad Millman is now editor-in-chief for both .com and The Magazine, Alison Overholt runs espnW

ESPN Digital & Print Media appointed two new editors-in-chief, one for ESPN.com and the other for espnW.

Chad Millman will assume new responsibilities as editor-in-chief of both ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com, effective immediately. Later this year, Alison Overholt — former deputy editor, ESPN Publishing — will join espnW as editor-in-chief.

Prior to his new role, Millman served as senior deputy editor; he joined ESPN the Magazine as associate editor prior to the magazine’s second edition in April 1998. Millman started his career as a reporter for Sports Illustrated and correspondent at CNNSI. He will report directly to Patrick Stiegman and be based in Bristol, Conn.

Overholt most recently developed content strategies for Hearst Magazines and serves as an adjunct professor in NYU’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management. Her previous experience with the company includes general and senior editor positions with ESPN The Magazine — most recently as deputy editor, ESPN Publishing. She will report to Stiegman and Laura Gentile, vice president of espnW and will also be based in Bristol, Conn.
