Watch Obama and Every Living Former President Urge You to Help Hurricane Victims (Video)

“We’ve got more love in Texas than water,” former POTUS George W. Bush says

Natural disasters don’t pay attention to party lines — or generational ones.

In a new video for the charitable fund “One America Appeal,” every former POTUS that’s still living urge the American people to give aid to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The video debuted during the season opener of NFL’s Thursday Night Football, featuring former U.S. presidents  Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

“As former presidents, we want to help our fellow Americans begin to recover,” Obama says in the video.

“Hurricane Harvey brought terrible destruction, but it also brought out the best in humanity,” Clinton says. His predecessor W. Bush adds, “people are hurting down here, but as one Texan put it, ‘We’ve got more love in Texas than water.”

Hurricane Irma has reached Category 5, already causing mass destruction in the Caribbean and putting the states of Florida, South Carolina and Georgia in a state of emergency. Hurricane Harvey last week caused intense flooding in Texas. Rebuilding efforts are expected to cost upwards of $180 billion.

One America Appeal guarantees all the money donated will go to aiding hurricane victims through the Houston Harvey Relief Fund and Michael Dell’s Rebuild Texas Fund.
