Bonnie Hoxie, the Walt Disney employee accused last year of insider trading, was sentenced to four months of home confinement by a federal judge on Tuesday.
Hoxie pleaded guilty to conspiracy and mail fraud for her role in the attempted insider trading scam.
"It was completely irresponsible,” a tearful Hoxie told the judge, according to a Daily News report. “It was completely bad judgment.”
Hoxie, a former secretary for Disney communications chief Zenia Mucha, added she was “blindsided by love.”
In May 2010, Hoxie and her boyfriend, Yonni Sebbag, were arrested after they allegedly tried to sell an FBI agent internal company information related to Disney's May quarterly report for $15,000 in cash.
In January, Sebbag was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison.
The 34-year-old was also given three years probation and ordered to do 300 hours of community service.
