Patrick Gallagher has landed on his feet after leaving the Fox hit "Glee" — the actor will be joining hit TNT comedy "Men of a Certain Age," TheWrap has learned.

On July 27, Gallagher exclusively told TheWrap that he had no hard feelings after learning that his character, football coach Ken Tanaka, would not be a part of "Glee's" second season.

"It was a great ride … the character's storyline had kind of run its course," Gallagher said.

Now, a person with knowledge of the actor's plans tells TheWrap that Gallagher has signed on to "Men of a Certain Age," which stars Ray Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula as a trio of middle-aged best friends. Gallagher will play a mechanic who works in the car dealership owned by Braugher's character, Owen.

Some details of Gallagher's appearance are still being finalized, including the name of his character and the number of episodes that he'll work on. It has yet to be decided whether Gallagher's appearance on "Men of a Certain Age" will be a recurring role or just a guest stint.

Gallagher also has upcoming roles in the Disney XD series "Pair of Kings" and HBO's Hollywood series "Entourage." Previously, Gallagher appeared in the feature films "Sideways," "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and the "Night at the Museum" series.

"Men of a Certain Age" debuted Dec. 7, 2009, season two is set to premiere Nov. 29.
