Fake Spider-Man Gets in Real Brawl in Front of Times Square Toys ‘R’ Us (Video)

Costumed street performer gives heckler a knuckle-heavy etiquette lesson

Spider-Man … Spider-Man … battling hecklers as best he can…

Bystanders in New York’s Times Square were treated to a raucous display on Thursday, when a costumed street performer dressed as the wallcrawler roughed up a man in front of a Toys ‘R’ Us store.

During the incident, which was captured on video, the pretend web-slinger wrestled the man to the ground and put him in a headlock, landing a few kicks and punches for good measure.

Witness Geoff Goldberg told the New York Daily News that the recipient of the smackdown was a known heckler who’s made a habit of “harassing” the street performers.

“The guy was harassing a number of performers, other costumed folks,” Goldberg said. “They’ve notoriously had issues with him in the past.”

According to the Daily News, there were no immediate reports of arrests as a result of the tussle.
