Family Feud
Steve Harvey promises the best of the worst “Family Feud” answers is on the way.
The host of the long-running game show told Huffington Post that a woman took a whopping 25 minutes to come up with a name you call your mother “other than ‘mother.'”
“The producers were mortified,” Harvey said. “It was scary at first, but once you hand me that jewel of information, I had that audience — it was like being at a Richard Pryor concert — I had the audience running around in that theater screaming, laughing, man. It was one of the great moments of TV.”
The incident will be cut down significantly to fit the format of the show, however, those who can’t get enough of game show bloopers (like this one here, and this one, too!) can watch the awkward moment in full when the comedian uploads it to his website after the episode airs.
“The greatest television I’ve ever had that won’t be seen, but I have a copy of it,” he said.
Hopefully Harvey wasn’t too hard on the contestant, since he knows what it’s like to make a major mistake on TV after misidentifying the winner of the last Miss Universe pageant, effectively getting one contestant’s hopes way up before crushing them with the truth.
