First Look at Quvenzhané Wallis’ Next Performance in Sundance Short ‘Boneshaker’

Preview the "Beasts of the Southern Wild" breakout star in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival short "Boneshaker"

Quvenzhané Wallis, the breakout star of "Beasts of the Southern Wild," won't be seen in theaters again until Steve McQueen's "Twelve Years a Slave" finds a release date, but she'll be present at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in a short titled "Bonecrusher."

The first preview of the 12-minute film shows the now 9-year-old actress kicking and screaming in a car before arriving at some kind of prayer tent.

According to the synopsis listed on IMDb, writer/director Frances Bodomo's film is about "an African family, lost in America, [who] travels to a Louisiana church to cure its problem child."
