The dark specter of cancer has once again descended on the “Flip of Flop” family.

“Flip or Flop” star Tarek El Moussa, who himself has been public about his battles with thyroid and testicular cancer, took to Instagram to say that series contractor Frank “The Tank” has been fighting “multiple cancers” for many years.

According to Frank “The Tank,” the cancer “has grown and spread” to the point where it has become inoperable.

El Moussa told his Instagram followers that the contractor is “still putting up the fight of his life,” encouragingly noting that doctors “told him a year ago he would not make it past six months, he’s proving them wrong, this man is a beast.”

The HGTV star then shared an update that Frank “The Tank” forwarded to El Moussa for his fans

“After three cycles of radiation and chemo the cancer has grown and spread. Now it’s inoperable due to being too close to my carotid artery,” the contractor wrote.

He went on to say that he has begun immunotherapy while he’s waiting for a clinical trial, undertaking his first treatment last week.

“I am now trying to eat and drink orally at a slow pace. Thank you for your support which makes me want to fight that much harder..,” he wrote.

Tarek El Moussa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a registered nurse emailed the show’s production company in 2013 to suggest that Moussa get a medical checkup for a large nodule on his thyroid, according to The Independent.

The reality star revealed earlier this year that, a month after being told he had thyroid cancer,he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer.

In January, El Moussa gave fans an update on his condition, writing on Instagram that he was still free of cancer.

“Still #cancer #free!!!! Having cancer is a very scary thing… I always get nervous going into each check up and today I got GREAT news!!” El Moussa wrote.
