“Game of Thrones” star Nathalie Emmanuel is No. 1 on miniseries’ call sheet — a role that was originally booked by Jessica Williams, but ultimately got recast. Brandon Mychal Smith, Zoe Boyle, Jennie Jacques, Harish Patel, Guz Khan, Rebecca Rittenhouse and John Reynolds will follow Emmanuel’s lead. “Four Weddings” also locked down a connection to the original film, with Andie MacDowell appearing as a guest star.

The show will follow four American friends — Maya (Emmanuel), Craig (Smith), Ainsley (Rittenhouse) and Duffy (Reynolds) — who reunite for a London wedding, but must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil. MacDowell will guest as Ainsley’s mother, Mrs. Howard, Boyle will play Gemma, Jacques will play Zara, Patel will play Haroon, and Khan will play Basheer.

“Four Weddings” is executive produced by Kaling, Matt Warburton, Tracey Wigfield, Jonathan Prince, Howard Klein of 3 Arts, Charlie Grandy, Tristram Shapeero and Charles McDougall. The adaptation of the 1994 Hugh Grant movie comes from MGM Television and Universal TV.

The “Four Weddings and a Funeral” miniseries premieres July 31 on Hulu.
