Fox Cancels ‘Almost Human’

Futuristic drama wrapped its first season with a series low in March

Fox has canceled the drama “Almost Human,” which was created by J.H. Wyman and counted J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk among its executive producers.

The series, which starred Karl Urban, Michael Ealy and Minka Kelly, wrapped its first season in March.

The futuristic drama explored a world where human cops were paired with android partners.

The show premiered in November to a solid 3.1 rating/8 share in the key 18-49 demographic and 9.1 million viewers overall, benefiting from a football lead-in, but slid to a 2.2 on its second night without a lead-in from football.

For its March finale, “Almost Human” hit a series low of 1.5/4 with 5.7 million viewers for its finale.
