‘Fox & Friends’ Scolds CNN Over Sam Nunberg Interview: Shouldn’t Put a ‘Drunk Guy On TV’

Despite chiding CNN, the cast didn’t offer much sympathy to former Donald Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg

‘Fox & Friends’ didn’t think much of former Trump aide Sam Nunberg’s media appearances. The cast on the couch said it looked like Nunberg was drunk and criticized CNN for potentially putting an intoxicated person on-air.

“Well we don’t know whether or not he was drinking or anything else but if CNN had a suspicion that he was drunk, it’s not the prudent thing to put a drunk guy on TV,” said co-host Steve Doocy.

Fellow host — and Joy Reid religion expert —  Brian Kilmeade was more certain.

“He was blitzed, it looks like,” he said while adding that he wasn’t particularly sympathetic. “He said horrible things about Sarah Huckabee Sanders, says he wants to fight Corey Lewandowski in an alley … he also had horrible things to say about Carter Page.”

While on set with Erin Burnett on Monday evening, the CNN host openly accused Nunberg of being intoxicated while on air.

“Talking to you, I have smelled alcohol on your breath,” she said, while also restarting White House talking points which alleged much the same.

Nunberg denied the charge.

“I have not had a drink,” he said, though he did admit to being on anti-depressants.
