Fans of the Kiefer Sutherland drama "Touch" will have to wait a little longer for the series to kick off its second season.

Fox has moved the series' season premiere to a to-be-determined date and time in January. New episodes of the Gordon Ramsay reality hit "Kitchen Nightmares" will now kick off on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m., when "Touch" was originally scheduled to resume.

The shift allows "Touch" to have an uninterrupted run and means that the series will benefit from strong promotional platforms. With NFC football leading into the midseason and "American Idol" and the new Kevin Bacon drama "The Following" both bowing in January as well, "Touch" will have the opportunity for better promotion.

The series, which stars Sutherland as Martin Bohm, a reporter and single father with an emotionally disturbed but extraordinarily gifted son Jake (David Mazouz), premiered in March to a strong 3.3 rating/9 share in the advertiser-cherished 18-49 demographic, it dropped to a low of 1.3 in the demo with its June finale.
