Fox News’ ‘The Five’ on Miley Cyrus: ‘That Was a Cheerleading Squad for Hookers’

Like most of the media, none of the five television personalities were amused by the 20-year-old pop star's performance at MTV's Video Music Awards

For those turned off by Miley Cyrus' nearly-naked VMA performance on Sunday night, it was a lot easier to look away than it is to stop talking about it. And now Fox News' "The Five" have weighed in, too. And in a surprise twist, they loved it!

Just kidding. They hated it with nearly as much passion as MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski.

"You know what that is? That was a cheerleading squad for hookers," Bob Beckel told his cohorts. "That's exactly what that thing was."

Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle echoed Brzezinski's "disgusting" comments, and concluded that Cyrus was "just a sad example of youth gone awry."

"I think she just looks sad, and pathetic and desperate. And if I were her parents I would just be crying buckets of tears right now. You can't be proud of this kind of behavior," Guilfoyle said. "Obviously, she's suffering inside that she feels that she needs to be this kind of exhibitionist. She's trying to chase after some fame and notoriety to become relevant, to try to be a Lady Gaga, or a Katy Perry, or a Madonna — and she's none of those things. She's just a sad example of youth gone awry."
