Fresh off historic GOP debate ratings, Fox News kept its ratings momentum going last week, ranking as the top network in all of primetime cable.
FNC ranked No. 1 in total viewers, drawing 1,866,000 viewers, beating TNT, HGTV, TBS and USA. It’s the second consecutive week the network has ranked first in primetime cable and the fourth time in the past five weeks.
“The Kelly File,” whose anchor Megyn Kelly is on vacation, had three of its editions rank in the top 20 of basic cable for the week.
The success in basic cable has Fox News on a trajectory to rank in the top three of all of basic cable for the month of August, helped out considerably by the behemoth ratings the first GOP debate brought in on August 6.
The 2016 campaign, and the “summer of Trump,” has boosted both Fox News and MSNBC this summer.
