Fox has ordered script for new drama project “Haunted,” which hails from Brent Bell.

Bell, who will direct and write the script, will share executive producing duties with Chris Morgan and Ainsley Davies. Lisa Arianna is producer; the one-hour 20th Century Fox Television production is loosely based on Bob Cramner book, “The Demon of Brownsville Road.”

“Haunted” is billed as a chilling horror series about a military agent who is partnered with her ex-boyfriend, now a rogue demonologist, to help a family overcome a deadly demonic infestation of their home, per Fox. The season-long case investigates the true story of one of the most haunted houses in America. The believer vs. nonbeliever duo, by solving the mystery of the present, will crack the mystery of their damaged past. At its core the series will explore the age-old question, “Is evil real?”

Bell (pictured above) co-wrote and directed “The Devil Inside,” which was released in January 2012 by Paramount Insurge. Supernatural thriller, “The Boy” — which has Lakeshore and Vertigo attached to produce — will be released in early 2016.

Prior to “Haunted,” Bell sold pilot “Posthuman” to USA through Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse.

Morgan, Bell, and Arianna are all repped by ICM Partners. Morgan’s attorney is Jeff Frankel; Bell’s is Peter Sample at Jackoway Tyerman.
