Fox Cooking Up Second Season of ‘Bob’s Burgers’

Recent addition to network’s Animation Domination roster gets drawn in for another round

The ratings for "Bob's Burgers" have been juicy enough for Fox to pick the animated series for a second season.

The network announced on Thursday that it had decided on an early renewal for the series, which is created and executive-produced by "King of the Hill" alum Loren Bouchard.

Kevin Reilly, Fox Broadcast's president of entertainment, said the series has "found its own really unique, irreverent voice and is doing consistent business for us on Sundays."

The show, which airs after after "The Simpsons" at 8:30 during Fox's Animation Domination block, debuted on Jan. 9 and follows the exploits of a family struggling to keep their burger joint above water. H. Jon Benjamin lends his voice to  the titular character Bob Belcher. He does similar duty on FX's spy cartoon "Sterling Archer" (also recently renewed).
