Fox Sets Date for 67th Primetime Emmy Awards

The Creative Arts Emmys will air on FXX

TV fans and industry members, save the date: Fox has set Sunday, Sep. 20 for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The move returns the small screen honors to both Sunday and September — last year NBC ran the awards show on a Monday evening in late August. By Sep. 20, Fox should have an afternoon NFL game serving as unofficial red carpet lead-in; NBC’s primetime football game caused the move in 2014.

The show celebrating the best of television and emerging media will take place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, airing live coast-to-coast from 8 p.m.-11 p.m. ET. Host(s) and producers will be announced soon.

Additionally, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be held on Saturday, Sep. 12, airing on FXX on a date to be announced.

There are more than 17,500 voting members in the Television Academy.

Last year, “Breaking Bad” won the statue for TV’s top drama; “Modern Family” won best comedy. Click here to remember all the winners.

Also for 2014’s Seth Meyers-hosted show, NBC had the second-highest rated Emmys telecast in eight years per metered market numbers.
