‘Frances Ha,’ Starring Greta Gerwig, Sells to IFC

"Frances Ha," which screened at Telluride and Toronto film festivals, is picked up by IFC

IFC has picked up North American and Latin American rights to “Frances Ha,” a serio-comedy starring Greta Gerwig and directed by Noah Baumbach, the company announced on Thursday. 

Getty ImagesGerwig plays Frances, a scattered 27-year-old who lives with her best friend, Sophie, in New York and spends far more time with her buddies than focusing on how she might get ahead in life.

"Frances Ha" played at the Telluride Film Festival and also the Toronto International Film Festival.

Scott Rudin produced the film with Rodrigo Teixeira of RT Features and Lila Yacoub. 

Rena Ronson and Rich Klubeck of UTA represented the filmmakers in the deal.
