‘Game of Thrones’: Sansa Hands Winterfell Over to Daenerys in New Footage From Final Season (Video)

Looks like Lady Stark is bending the knee

“Game of Thrones” fans who tuned into the Golden Globes Sunday got a treat with new footage from the eighth and final season buried inside an HBO “first look” promo that aired during the awards show.

In the 1-minute, 10-second clip — which included scenes from several of the premium cabler’s new and returning series — Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) meets Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) for the first time at Winterfell, with the Mother of Dragons accompanied by Jorah Mormant (Iain Glen) and Lady Stark backed up by Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).

Sansa seems to bend the knee to Dany in this encounter, saying, “Winterfell is yours, Your Grace,” as she welcomes her to her home in the North.

Oh, and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is right there next to Dany with the two looking like, dare we say it, a (most-likely-related) couple?

We also get a brief look at a flying dragon and an aerial shot of Winterfell, which isn’t much. But, hey, that’s the first real look HBO has given us of the final six episodes of “Game of Thrones,” so we’ll take it.

(Uh, don’t think we haven’t forgotten about that trailer though.)

Watch the clip above.

“Game of Thrones” eighth and final season will premiere in April on HBO.
