Note to self: Do not invite Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) to any family functions.
The “Game of Thrones” character got invited to Seth Meyers‘ baby shower in a sketch that aired on NBC’s “Late Night” on Thursday, but her mood seemed to bring everyone down.
Instead of sharing an inspirational quote about parenthood like the other guests, Melisandre decided to remind everyone, “The night is dark and full of terrors.”
She likewise didn’t get it when other women at the party shared their own stories about giving birth. She instead told the story about giving birth to a shadow demon in season two of the hit HBO series.
Melisandre also admitted to having a crush on someone she works with, Jon Snow, but she doesn’t know where the relationship is going since she’s not sure if he’s alive or dead.
Finally, rather than guess the future profession of the unborn child, Melisandre told Meyers and his wife exactly what their child will do for a living: become a dentist.
She then tries to lighten up with a wisecrack about the cheese being served at the party, but one of the guests just doesn’t get it. So naturally, Melisandre sets her ablaze.
“Game of Thrones” returns to HBO on April 24.
