‘Game of Thrones’ at Comic-Con: No Direwolves, But Theon Brings a Puppy

Maybe he was sad the Stark children all got a dog but he didn’t

Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the HBO mega-hit “Game of Thrones,” showed up at the big Hall H “Game of Thrones” panel at San Diego Comic-Con with quite a gimmick: a totally precious little puppy, which he just held in his lap the whole time.

That’s the whole story here. Theon brought a puppy to Comic-Con and nobody could keep themselves from tweeting out pictures (including me).

What do you have a better way of distracting a massive audience of rabid fans with a million questions about the show? The panelists, who aren’t allowed to say anything about the show’s current, final season, are basically there to bask in the audience’s adoration. And who does adoration-basking better than a puppy?

No one, that’s who.
