Media giant Gannett is set to buy Journal Media Group for $280 million, the company announced late on Wednesday.

Gannett, already the country’s largest newspaper publisher, will add 15 daily papers and 18 weeklies to its portfolio with the acquisition.

Gannett said the deal will add $450 million in revenue annually while boosting circulation by 675,000.

Journal Media Group had merged with E.W. Scripps in April before spinning off from into separate units for print and broadcast. The papers that Gannett will add to its portfolio were all once under ownership of Scripps or Journal Media.
