“Dancing With the Stars” Season 21 has another official cast member, and they don’t get much more colorful than Gary Busey.

The outrageous actor who is infamous for his scary-looking mugshot appeared on fellow ABC show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday to make the announcement.

True to form, he shared the news in the most over-the-top fashion possible by riding in on a white horse wearing a full Western outfit.

When host Jimmy Kimmel asked him why he was joining the reality competition, the 71-year-old actor replied: “I didn’t have anything better to do.”

Busey will be joining celebrity chef Paula Deen, Bindi Irwin (the 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin), Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and American Pharoah jockey Victor Espinoza, who won the Triple Crown in June. Other contestants for the reality hit’s 21st season are still to be named.

For the pros, Karina Smirnoff will be returning to the show after sitting out last season. Val Chmerkovskiy, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Artem Chigvintsev, Allison Holker, Witney Carson, Sharna Burgess and Peta Murgatroyd are all set to join the ballroom.

The full Season 21 cast will be revealed Sept. 2 on “Good Morning America.”

“Dancing with the Stars” premieres on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m.
