Kanan, known to “General Hospital” fans as A.J. Quartermaine, is hopping back over to CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

The actor will once again take up the contract role of Deacon Sharpe, a role he has played on and off since 2000.
Alas (for “GH” fans, anyway), Kanan’s decision to slip back into Sharpe’s skin means he will be departing “General Hospital,” at least for the time being.
A spokeswoman for ABC told TheWrap on Monday that the network had no comment on Kanan’s move to “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
