George Zimmerman’s Wife Tells ABC News He’s ‘Selfish,’ Abusive (Video)

Shellie Zimmerman wants a divorce, two dogs and money

George Zimmerman’s wife blames the deterioration of her marriage squarely on the man acquitted in the murder of Trayvon Martin, telling ABC News reporter Steve Osunsami that he’s tempestuous, verbally abusive and makes “reckless decisions.”

“I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don’t think I ever really knew him at all,” 26-year-old Shellie Zimmerman said.

After agreeing with Osunsami’s query about her husband’s feeling of invincibility, Shellie Zimmerman said, “I just think he’s making some reckless decisions.”

She said George has a temper, was verbally abusive and that couples’ counseling did not yield any changes in their relationship.

“I have a selfish husband, and I think George is all about George,” Shellie Zimmerman said.

She continued, “I stood by my husband through everything and I feel he left with me a bunch of pieces of broken glass that I’m supposed to now assemble and make a life.”
