Fox News host Geraldo Rivera apologized to Donald Trump on Wednesday for “piling on and adding fuel” to the scandal surrounding the hot mic incident that showed the GOP nominee making lewd sexual comments about women.
Rivera mentioned on Sunday that he could have his own tapes of Trump, but tweeted otherwise Tuesday night.
Contrary to my on-air remarks- a search of my files found No Relevant #TrumpTapes. There is 1 re: ugly feud w Rosie O'Donnell, an old story.

Rivera, a former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant, said that he had damaging evidence against Trump during a special Sunday debate edition of “The Five.”
“I have interviewed Donald Trump many times and been with him many times, and I have tapes. My brother and I have been starting to go through the tapes now and there are statements that, in the context of the current climate, would be embarrassing,” he said.
On Friday, The Washington Post published a video tape of Trump on a hot mic boasting to Billy Bush about kissing, groping and having sex with women.
“When you’re a star, they let you do anything … I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” Trump said. “Grab ’em by the p–y.”
The backlash has been severe, as Trump has lost the support of numerous high-profile members of the GOP and Bush is suspended by NBC.
