‘Gilmore Girls’ Full Seven-Season Run Heads to Up Network

TCA 2015: Cable network acquires mother-daughter drama series starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel

Cable network Up has acquired all seven seasons of the classic TV drama series “Gilmore Girls.” The first of the show’s 153 one-hour episodes will premiere on the network this coming fall.

“We’ve acquired one of the most beloved shows in family TV history and we are thrilled to add such a critically acclaimed family series to our lineup,” Amy Winter, executive vice president and GM at Up, said.

“Gilmore Girls is distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution.

The series aired from 2000 to 2007 on The WB and its successor, The CW. The show starred Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and Melissa McCarthy.

Actor Edward Herrman, who played patriarch Richard Gilmore, died on Dec. 31, 2014.

“Gilmore Girls” was created and executive produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino.
